Halloween 2015

Celebrating Halloween all of October . Sad fact is that here in Sweden Halloween is not much celebrated…because it “destroys” another holiday called…(no not kidding)…All Hallows Day…directly translated. The argument: Halloween is on the same day as All Hallows Day...it´s not that simple: Halloween is on October 31^st ALWAYS and All Hallows Day is always the first Saturday in November. So: yes, some years it will be on the 31^st but so what? All Hallows Day is an evening/day we honor/remember our passed-away relatives by lighting candles by their graves or memorial places.

Despite this, on the 31st I wait at my door, costumed and with a bucket of candy for the few kids who goes on Trick or Treat .
